![]() ![]() Regardless, doesn't change the fact the substories themselves are worth seeking out and are hilarious/good fun.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. (Hence why I got the ability anyway despite feeling like I preferred how things were before). But that sort of promotes doing substories after the main story which, personally speaking, I prefer to do them alongside the main story. I suppose if you really wanted to you could hold off on getting it until you feel like you're missing substories, buy it, and then find the rest. I had that happen a lot in Yakuza 6 so in that instance the ability makes a lot of sense. However, there were also issues where you'd eliminate a ton of substories and then you could run aimlessly around the city for 20-30 minutes just looking for one substory. That all being said, it felt more rewarding to have to think about where a substory might be and just run around the city. And in this game it seems they added more substories where you need to talk to someone first as opposed to just stumbling upon a substory trigger like in the previous games. Though, at times in the previous games it could be difficult to get some to trigger if you weren't in the exact spot. I went and purchased it buuuuut I definitely agree about it feeling better to just stumble across them. #Yakuza kiwami majima m store shaking car how toAnd VF2 I apparently don't remember how to play period. I don't remember Virtual On controlling like this, granted the last time I played it was years ago on 360 but I can't get the turning to work right. I will say I was excited to see Virtual On and VF2 and then I got absolutely nowhere in either of them, lol. I do like the smooth transitions into and out of combat for sure. Of course in Y0 that became irrelevant because I eventually just rolled over everyone in Beast style and in Kiwami 1 it was all about the Tiger Drop. I feel like I can't do more than 2-3 attacks before they randomly bust out of the combo and hit me. I'm playing on hard and it's still super easy, but when I try to fight bosses without healing I run into the same problem I had in early Y0. ![]() Most of them just seemed to be two lines of 'hey thanks for beating them up I'm your friend now'.Ĭombat wise I'm not really sure yet. ![]() I was a bit disappointed by the subquests at first, but I've found a few fun goofy Y0-style ones eventually. So I've been doing a lot of running around finding locker keys, beating dudes up and eating food. The exp system is pretty neat, at first I thought that battles were giving me utterly pitiful amounts of exp but then I saw how much you got from eating at fancy places. Put in a few hours last night and got a few chapters in. I don´t think i will spend much time with the minigames and sidestuff this time and i will rather beeline the main story. I really think this game feels much fresher for people who haven´t played Yakuza 6 already. The story is good so far, not great because after introducing the main villain he goes hiding and you do more or less mundane stuff in the meantime till the story picks up again. Sure, it is more content but it´s mostly recycled content or content that was in Zero, missing in 6 and is now brought back. While new additions like Toylets or Virtual On are cool, it isn´t enough real "new stuff" to do in this game. it is a 1:1 copy.Ĭlan Creator is cool but it doesn´t help that this feature was also in 6, which was only 3 months ago. The content recycling is very apparent in this game, down to having the exact same animations for Kiryu that Majima had in 0 when opening the Cabaret Club and helping the girls at the tables. I really like the game but somehow i can´t shake the feeling that this is the "been here, done that" edition. ![]()
